Plus excessive cleaning fee (if needed)
The standard pet fee covers normal cleaning associated with a pet-friendly stay. An excessive cleaning fee may be assessed if additional cleaning, deodorizing, sanitation, pest treatment, or remediation is required beyond our normal turnover procedures.
Guests are also responsible for the actual cost of repairing or replacing any property damaged by their dog.
Before & Upon Arrival
Dogs must be included on the reservation prior to arrival.
All guests traveling with dogs must notify or check in with Guest Relations upon arrival. We also kindly ask that dogs arrive clean and recently bathed.
Bringing an undisclosed or unregistered pet onto the property may result in a $150 undisclosed-pet charge, plus the applicable pet fee and any excessive cleaning or damage charges.
While at The Hive
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone:
Dogs must remain leashed and under the direct control of their owner whenever outside the guest's Hive.
This requirement applies throughout the property, including trails, decks, elevated walkways, bridge walks, parking areas, and common outdoor spaces.
Guests must clean up after their dogs immediately. Complimentary pet-waste bags are available, and all waste must be bagged and placed in designated receptacles.
Excessive or prolonged barking is not permitted.
Dogs may not chase, harass, or disturb wildlife.
Digging or other destructive behavior is prohibited.
Dogs are not permitted on beds or upholstered furniture.
Dogs are never permitted in private hot tubs.
Except for qualifying service animals, dogs are not permitted inside Nectar Café, Arbor Lounge, or other designated indoor food-and-beverage or common areas.
Leaving Your Dog in Your Hive
Dogs should not be left unattended for extended periods.
If a dog is temporarily left unattended inside a Hive, the dog must be safely secured in a guest-provided crate and may not create a disturbance or pose a risk of damage to the Hive.
Guests must remain reachable by mobile phone whenever their dog is temporarily left unattended.
If a pet is creating a disturbance or management believes the pet's health, safety, or the property may be at risk, The Hive reserves the right to contact the guest and require their immediate return.
Quiet Hours
Quiet hours at The Hive are 10:00 PM–8:00 AM.
Dogs may not create disturbances that interfere with another guest's experience. Repeated disturbances may require the dog to be removed from the property.
Protecting Our Natural Environment
The Hive is located within a natural woodland environment. Guests and their dogs may encounter wildlife, insects, ticks, changing weather conditions, uneven terrain, and other conditions inherent to a forest setting.
For the protection of your dog, our wildlife, and other guests, dogs must remain under their owner's control at all times.
Guests are responsible for any damage to trees, landscaping, trails, structures, furnishings, or other resort property caused by their dog.

Undisclosed or unregistered dog: $150, plus the applicable pet fee and any excessive cleaning or damage charges
Failure to clean up after a dog: $200 per occurrence

Property damage or excessive cleaning: Actual additional cleaning, repair, replacement, or remediation costs
Serious or repeated violations, aggressive behavior, or disturbances affecting other guests may result in the dog being required to leave the property. Continued or significant violations may result in termination of the stay without refund, subject to applicable law.
Service Animals
The Hive welcomes qualifying service animals in accordance with applicable law.
A service animal is a dog individually trained to perform work or tasks for an individual with a disability.
Where permitted by law, The Hive may ask:
1. Is the dog required because of a disability?
2. What work or task has the dog been trained to perform?
Qualifying service animals are not subject to standard pet fees, pet cleaning fees, breed restrictions, or pet weight limits.
Service animals must remain under the handler's control and must be housebroken. Guests remain responsible for actual damage caused by a service animal to the same extent that guests are responsible for similar damage they cause to resort property.
Emotional support, comfort, and companion animals that do not meet the legal definition of a service animal are considered pets and are subject to The Hive's standard Pet Policy, fees, and restrictions.
Guest Responsibility
Guests are responsible for the supervision, behavior, and actions of their dogs throughout their stay and for pet-related injury or property damage to the extent permitted by applicable law.
The Hive Hocking Hills North reserves the right to update or modify this Pet Policy as operational, safety, insurance, or legal requirements change.
